This 30cm animated display is a wrapped gift box whose lid opens to reveal a penguin popping up, then closes again. It repeats all evening and it is quietly delightful, the sort of thing people crouch down to watch properly.
50 warm white LEDs give it a cosy glow. At 30cm high, 28cm wide and 20cm deep, it is small enough for a hall table, a porch step, a shop counter, a windowsill or beside a Christmas tree, which is where most display pieces are simply too big to go.
