Red glass with a light behind it is one of the oldest tricks in Christmas, and still one of the best.
Three red glass spheres patterned with intricate gold scrollwork, lit from inside by warm white LEDs so the colour deepens rather than brightens. The result is closer to stained glass than to a fairy light, and it throws a genuinely warm cast across whatever surface they sit on.
Three sizes, 10cm, 12cm and 15cm, meant to be grouped rather than spaced out. Each takes 3 x AA in a hidden compartment, so no cords and no powerpoint to work around.
